Writing from Memory

This retreat takes place from April 30 – May 3, 2025, in the beautiful Donnelly Lakes area of Pemberton.  I’ts aimed at anyone who is working on a project that seeks to excavate memories.  Whether you’re a published writer, or someone who is just getting started, this retreat will help you focus and provide you with generous critique, practical tips and the space to let your creativity flow.

I’m the author of two books and many essays, and my focus is on creative non-fiction.  I’m also a lover of all forms of literature, and have served as the Festival Director at the Perth Writer’s Festival, and guest curator at the Sydney Writer’s Festival.  I’ve also appeared on the Book Show, and Conversations with Sarah Kanowski, and many other national and international outlets.
